Fairmont and Season photos!

Fairmont was a blast! So relaxing and rejuvenating! Lovely, sunny days and warm evenings in the hot tub...reading lots and lots...and ahh...soo nice!! No electronics, just me and a book! I wish I could live life like that all the time!!
Today was my first day back at work, after a five day break...and as a welcome back, they put me on preschool...all day...how much fun did I have today. Gosh, what a day. I was in desperate need of a massage and chocolate when I got home, which I did receive as Easter is tomorrow! Yay!

Chocolate Bunny!!

What a fantastic day! The last day of the 5 week programs this weekend, and one of my students gave me a chocolate bunny!! (Which I am thoroughly enjoying right now accompanied with a glass of wine!) How can I end the day better? Lovely!!

I am in such a happy mood, which is awesome, and tomorrow morning I have my worst preschool class ever (but on the bright side, after tomorrow, I probably won't see them again!) And the women's group and day bis! Then we have a staff awards night which is formal wear....so I'll be arriving 1/2 an hour late, so I can get clean and dressed before the dinner! Busy busy busy! I'm just enjoying myself right now, things are going smoothly, and it's awesome!!
So I hope tomorrow will be just as good!! Then I have 5 days off up in Fairmont, then working a lovely weekend again with 2 day programs over Spring Break! So lots of good stuff is happening, and tomorrow I get to show off my tanned face while my neck and everything else is as white as can be...( at least I don't have a huge intense goggle tan like some other instructors..!!)

So everything is going smoothly and wonderfully! Yippee!!

Australia!!

I have signed my contract...!! Which means Australia here I come! Yay!! IT"S SO EXCITING! I am so very, very, very excited! My Japan trip is going to be pushed back I think but just until next March! A whole year away still, but at least I'm traveling and it will be very very exciting to travel outside of Canada again! WAHOO!!!
So today was my last day on schools- and it was the best ever..!! And tomorrow's my last day on pre-school so I'll be super oober excited, and then the weekend is my last weekend of 5 week programs! Then I go up to Fairmont Hot Springs for a whole 4 days! Then I have a day off when I get back, and then I got to work on the weekend again, but life is good. And it's fantastic! And I love it! I can't wait! Woot woot!!
I have a whole lot to do between now and Australia though, so I shouldn't get too excited, I suppose....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I almost got around to signing my contract with Perisher!! but it wouldn't let me...so I'm waiting on an email now to help me out!
That means......exciting new adventures!! WAHOO!
Super exciting stuff, that's really all-- I still the rest of this week until Sunday night until my next day off which is going to be tiring but really good because then I have 5 days off to go to Fairmont! WAHOO!
Today's group was really good- although I had 2 non-listeners and then one mummy's girl who would not leave her child and the child would not leave her mum and so would not listen until her mum was back right next to her holding her hand...which made it quite difficult to keep count..but I managed it and there was a parent hanging around making sure that I kept all the kids- and I was thinking in my head "I do this every day, just relax, I got everything under control..." he seemed to think I was incapabale of handling 10 kids...I have had 13 all by myself, and a total large group of 16 with nothing but an AP to help pick them up, but in the end, it went nice and smoothly!
These kids today were awesome, we danced the chicken dance, had a little 'ski circle' for secret sharing haha (more like what we're going to do next with a small pinch of ski tips) and sang the first phrase of The Wheels on the Bus..which was pretty wicked!
So over all, it was pretty sweeet!

Shiny new things..!!

Woowweee, time is flying!!!
Life is good, and exciting as I'm preparing for next year!
Today I bought a shiny new purple helmet and shiny new goggles from a sample sale at a very good price!! How exciting is that?? Especially considering I haven't gotten new ski stuff since I was like 8...so that's good!!

Also, I've recieved a job offer from Perisher Ski Resort in New South Wales Australia! So it looks like I'm going to be going back home to Australia in either May or June!! So WAHHOO!!!
HOW EXCITING IS THAT?

Yeeeeaaahhh, um, so that's pretty darn exciting! This season has 4 weeks left, and in a week, the family is heading up to Fairmont, so I'll be joining them for the last 3 days of that adventure to the hot springs! Which is super exciting! Um, that's all for now1

Amazing Day!

So today was a super fantastic day for a preschool day! I started at 9 and had a preschool who came in, they were alright-I wasn't at my best because I was a little frustrated at the parents crowding around the bottom of the bronze carpet (the smallest one) and applauding any child who came down...meaning applauding the ones who weren't listening and just sped the whole way down wanting to get attention..but it was still an ok class! I managed to get all of them to stop by the end of it!! One kid was having trouble, and one ride up the magic carpet with him- he told me about his love for numbers when I asked for his favourite animal. So..at the top I told him to make a triangle and bingo! He made a fantastic wedge stop! I had a blast with my 5 week kids- although at first I have level 3 kids and because of the new chairlift I couldn't take them on the chair + the biggest carpet had broken down, so we had to stay on the silver carpet (the medium one)...but I tried to make it as fun as possible...The reason I couldn't take them on the new chairlift is because the top is insanely steep and the step from the handle tow to the new chairlift is crazy!! (They shut the old chairlift that I would've taken them up on... ) But apart from that it was awesome!

Maybe this weekend that I'm not looking forward to will be alright after all! School are awesome during the week most of the time, so I'm quite loving life right now!

What I love about working at a ski school- everyone is so willing to help out even when you don't ask, and they're more than happy if they do ask. You can say hello to anyone from any department and they reply with a smile, I love the atmosphere, it's fantastic! Um, well, it's March 1! Super hot today- I think like 10-12 degrees above! Which meant slushy sticky snow and not very nice conditions, but it was warm so I don't mind. I personally hope Spring is on the way, but I have a strong feeling that it's going to get cold again soon, so don't worry Heidi haha :P
