Hey everyone! Today was pretty awesome! I donated blood with the Canadian Blood Services!! I was pretty nervous but everyone is so nice and it went really well! Apart from at the end when they were just about to take the needle out I didn't feel so well, so I said so. All of a sudden, I was surrounded by about 5 people. Raising my legs, putting wet cloths on my head and neck, and a fan blowing in my face, and one of the nurses said 'Keep your eyes open' and I did, but after I don't remember anything. When I came back to myself, the fan was still going and the cloths had been removed and there was a sticky pink bandage on my arm that said GIVE BLOOD. So embarrassed. I am really very embarrassed, I could have done without any of that. So apart from that, it was brilliant, I would totally do it again, but definitely without the episode at the end. (oh my goodness, so embarrassing!) They made me wait more and then the nurse walked me over to the refreshment station where I was given 2 cookies! So on this endeavor, I had drunk 3 juice boxes, eaten 2 cookies and a nutri-bar. haha, but overall it was a really good experience and I recommend it to everyone to give blood. I am not a big fan of needles, but one of my friends said 'I know you don't like needles, but some people don't like dying either.' it's amazing how many people ended up donating because of this statement. So I'm not sure how much blood my school managed to get, I'll let you know when I find out! Also, I can't wait until I get my Canadian Blood Services card either because then I get to know what blood type I am which I'm really curious about. That's the biggest thing that's happened recently.
Oh yes, I've signed up to take the DELF exam (Diplome d'etudes en langue francaise). Pretty much a diploma of french language studies. Which is an internationally recognized diploma and I'm really excited to get that.
That's the most exciting thing so I'll wrap that up for today!
