French for the Future
Hey everyone so today I had a pretty interesting and unique day!! I had a day that was 100% in french, unlike most of my days which are about 75% french. This is a day were grade 12 students come from all over Canada to our university because we're all bilingual. So first thing we did was have our first workshop which for me was 'Votre voix francophone' which consisted in dubbing movies in french. It was totally awesome!! I've always wanted to be a voice dubbing a cartoon and it was just as fun as I imagined it! I totally want to do that as a real job. That lasted 2 hours which was super fun and then we had lunch, (during which we got entertained with singing and tap dancing, and then we learned some french folk dance which was super fun!) then off to the second workshop which was interviewing. I signed up for this one because I thought it was going to talk to you about tips on things to do in a job interview, but it wasn't. It was some guy from radio-canada talking about what life was like being a interview-reporter person. So that was a little bit of a disappointment for me. But overall the day was spent spectacularly and I got a lot of practice for my oral french! Finally, as the day closed, we had a draw for gift certificates and an iPad. Unfortunately, I didn't win anything, but I still got a lot of beneficial stuff out of the day!!
