Graduation
So, yesterday was my high school graduation ceremony and banquet. The ceremony was long and quite boring, saying what they say every year, that this year's graduating class is the best of all the other years...yeah right. Um, so the ceremony was quite long. We had to get to the ceremony at 12:45, to get our gowns and line up alphabetically, the ceremony was supposed to start at 1:30, but didn't end up starting until 2 pm. And I'm at the end of the alphabet, so it was a long wait... I was the 13th from the last, and once we finally got there, and the ceremony was finished it was 4:30. I had to rush home because my Aunt was doing my hair which she did a brilliantly fantastic job. My hair is chin length and she managed to get it all up in a curly bun thingy and it looked gorgeous! The banquet started at 6:30 downtown, and I wasn't ready until 6:00, and we weren't late at all which was really really excellent. I went with my friend because we live really close. The banquet was also quite boring and the speeches were very very dull and long. The food wasn't excellent either, but it was bad, it just wasn't the best I've ever had in my life. I don't think this banquet was worth the $75. The dance was loud and the dance floor was tiny! Considering there were 430 graduating students there, there wasn't very much space at all!! I can't remember what time we left at, but we got to my house at roughly 11:30-11:45 pm, then we had a small glass of champagne and she left at 12:45 am. I think that hour or so at my house was the highlight of the whole day, even though it wasn't that exciting...but I mean, what the heck are we celebrating?? It's not like we've actually finished high school yet, there are still 12 days left of classes and then I still have to write 5 exams, and depending on whether I pass those or not, depends on whether I'm actually graduating. Silly, isn't it?? That last day of classes isn't even here yet. Anyway, I don't think they should have such a big emphasis on finishing high school...oooohhhh good job you finished high school. It's like, wow, such a big deal. However, considering that lots of people spent over $500 on dresses, shoes and make-up and stuff, I did rather well- I only spent $20 on the whole outfit haha. I'm good, eh? But, my goodness, you should've seen some of the dresses!! There was one girl that was wearing a bright pink princess dress, with the whole poofy skirt part, and tiara and everything. Oh, and there was another girl that looked like the god of death, she was wearing a black corset dress, and bright red lipstick, really dark eye make-up and dyed platinum blonde hair, it was quite horrifying. Some people looked really pretty and I feel that my dress was really classic. So it was quite interesting seeing all these different dresses, some of them pretty, others horrific, but it was pretty nice. Hmm, I think that's all the info you need on this night!
