Excitement

So last night the most exciting thing happened. I was working on my essay (and I was on a bit of a roll) and then the fire alarm went off. I was like "............oh.......shit." so then I opened my door and looked out- there was nobody- I was like "..." then people started coming out of the kitchen and their rooms and there was a whole ton of smoke coming from the kitchen. So I came and grabbed my phone, my -20 degree winter jacket and my keys, locked my room, turned off the lights, and went outside. Apparently, someone burned his steak and then the fire truck came and we were stuck outside for a good 20 minutes. After they'd got everything under control, we were allowed to go back in and it was hazy and smokey- it smelled like burnt steak and there was definitely a thin layer of smoke everywhere on the first floor. That was exciting, so this guy ended up paying $350 worth for getting the fire-truck here because he wasn't paying attention when he cooking the steak. That was fun, wasn't it. At least now we know that the fire-alarm system works...in case you had any doubts before. It funny too, because just the other day, a girl set off the smoke alarm in her room because she was blow-drying her hair, but it didn't set the whole floor off. I think they also figured out that the smoke alarm in the kitchen doesn't work, because it got picked up by the sensors in the hallway...
Oh well, that was the most excitement I've had in res since I moved in!

Anyway, It's 7:59 AM and I have a class at 8:30, after class I'm going into the language lab and then coming home to study for my theatre quiz- actually more like memorize answers and words in the questions- this quiz will be super easy haha and I'll work on my essay--Oh I'm also asking my liberal studies prof how to in-text quote a quoted quote. Should be fun haha
Okay, well, I'll talk to you later!! xx
