Wahoo, I think I am soo tired of kids around the ages of 3-5 for ski teaching!! They are so exhausting, I know some people say that they are lots of fun, but...okay, they are a little...but it's so chaotic and hectic...it's so hard to keep track of all 5-6 of them at the same time, with their parents watching on the side lines calling to their kids- making them wander off!! It's so hard to keep track, but I am managing, today and yesterday and tomorrow I am getting lots of help from senior instructors!! YAY!! I was supposed to be switched off because it's a little too chaotic for me, but they couldn't so they're giving me more help instead. Which in a way is better because then I can learn more, but I don't think it's helping my young little wee healthy heart though haha! I love teaching private lessons, if they are from 1-4 people I can handle it- it's fantastic, even if the ages are adults and little preschool kids combined, it's so much fun!! I take my hat off to all those preschool and kindergarten teachers--wow they got skills...however, they do have an advantage of having one room while I have a whole ski hill full of kids that are wearing similar jackets and are around the same age!! >.< But it's all good fun and a huge learning curve for me!
Youths are lots of fun to teach, easy, although they talk back when it's hard...but that's okay, I can deal with that. They're lots of fun because I can actually go on the chair and practice skiing myself a little XD
I have one more day of the 4 day program to teach and that's tomorrow. So apart from being tired after every day, I like it much much more than sitting at a desk and studying all day doing little or no physical activity...!!
Alright, supper's on the table so I got to go!! I'll try to update more frequently!

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to everyone out there! I hope this year everyone has been good :P I had a wonderful Christmas filled with lots of turkey and pressies and laughter!!
I had a wonderful day at work yesterday, teaching a private lesson in the morning and then a semi-private in the afternoon and getting off around 3 pm which is much better than 5 pm! Then Christmas came early in the morning and my older brother and I and my parents were woken up by our little brother shouting 'Christmas time!! Wake up! Time to open presents!'
haha, as usual, and lots of pictionary was played on my dad's birthday (the 23rd), it was lots of fun!
So I'm working 27-30 and then from the 2-6 of January! I'll be busy but it's much much better than being immobile and studying all the time!
That's it for now! I am going to go and read some of the books I got for Christmas!!

Winter Solstice
Yesterday was the 21st obviously, and as it was the winter solstice, we had a little meditation that ended up lasting 35 minutes!! Wow!! We were aiming for at least 8 minutes, but we surpassed!! It went by very quickly and it was quite nice and relaxing. Other than that we didn't do a whole lot. We played with some tarot cards and snacked on yummy treats. In the evening, Lalaina and Maoly came over for visiting and I have to say it was very very nice to see Lalaina again! I'm so glad I am back from that perspective! It was also very nice to see Tanya again! It was a blast pulling all those tarot cards...haha
This morning I actually slept in until 9! Yay! I was also making cookies and reading, but then my little brother pissed me off so much that here I am, killing him in my head. haha but GOSH HE IS SO FRUSTRATING! I could fry his face and feed it to the crows. or something. yeah, well he's annoying. anyway
I have unpacked a little.
It's dad's birthday tomorrow too, so I was in the middle of making his cookies when I removed myself from downstairs to avoid lashing out. And so now I am trying to calm myself by writing and just breathing, you know, yeah...okay

Super exhausted
Hii! So I am still in the process of unpacking, and I've already worked my first day at COP...it was quite the event. Considering how nervous I was, it totally wasn't worth it. Everyone there was super nice and friendly and I met so many people and it definitely was not worth all that worrying. I got lots of help and advice from senior instructors which was soo helpful!! I've had 3 nights of training and tonight it my last one. Then my next day I am working is Christmas Eve, and then I will be doing a 3 day came on Dec 27, 28, 29, and I'm working on the 30th as well. I have New Year's eve and day off and I work from Jan 2-6 all 8 hour shifts. wahoo!! I am excited but yesterday I worked a smaller day from 8:15-3:15 roughly, and then I had to come back for training from 5:30-9 pm. So It was really tiring, and all my muscles are sore because I've had little or no physical activity over the past 3 1/2 months. This is the first time I've turned on my computer..in a really long time..really, since I got back.. haah awesome. Um, yeah, so apart from my really sore body I am absolutely fine! Still I am very glad to be home. Love my job (although I hate management because they're really, really disorganized) and life is good. Tomorrow we're doing a solstice meditation get together thingy, so that will be fun. Um. Yeah. I suppose.
I am still living out of boxes but now I have like 4 days off so it's all good XD I am going to be so tired after my 4 day long shifts haha. Um okay, well I got to go and help continue cooking and cleaning...it's what we've been doing all day in preparation of tomorrows shindig!
Yay!

In Calgary
Hii!! I arrived in Calgary Thursday evening after 2 long days of driving! I am very content with seeing my puppy again!! He is super adorable, just as I remember!! :D
So, today I went with my dad to a first-aid and CPR course and it continues on to tomorrow which has been quite-uh- informative?
This evening we've started to set up our Christmas tree but the lights aren't working, so that's kind of put a hole in our decorating.
Also, I haven't even gotten time to unpack yet, so all that's unpacked are my clothes...and nothing else! Everything is still in it's boxes...oh well, it's nothing too urgent I suppose.
These are just some photos of me and my wee brother and my lovely mummy and daddy and my little pooch sunny!! :D
Isn't he adorable XD
You might recognize BJ (the bear) wearing a matching red bow as Sunny! hehe
Friday was quite nice and busy, I went for a nice walk with my mum on Nose Hill with my puppy and it was wonderful with the gorgeous view of the mountains! After, we ran some errands and by the time everything had calmed down, we went to Oma and Opa's to decorate their Christmas Tree and ate yummy pizza. It was very nice to see everyone in the flesh again!

Travel Day
Hi everyone!!
I was going to write a blog on the ferry coming over from Nanaimo to Vancouver...but the wi-fi was very untrustworthy and it kept dropping and for some reason I am having lots of difficulty opening the blog page...I don't know what's going on.
What's happened yesterday and today.
Last night I went out to dinner with Geunyeoung and Seo Yeong at a over-priced yet delicious pasta and pizza restaurant. It was called New York Style Pasta and Pizza. A place that was super delicious but super expensive and we did not even get service with a smile...which was unfortunate. The lady wasn't rude just unhappy and made everything you asked her look like a burden.
But it did not affect the lovely time we had together. This is Geunyeong on the left and Seo Young sitting beside me. It was brilliant, we found that we had lots of music in common, we both really like classical music which was fantastic!
Then afterwards, I met my daddy and we met and discussed what was going to happen the next morning. I got back to res at around 9:40, and Dabin came to visit at 10 pm. We took some last photos together and she gave me a wonderful letter. I'm going to miss her!
I cleaned the bathroom that night, and got into bed at around 11 at night.
This morning, I got up at 6:30, and Dad came around at 7 am. We started packing and managed to get everything done by 8:30 am including vacuuming, and cleaning in general. We were waiting around for 1/2 an hour for the dryer to finish drying. It finished at 9:00 am so we were out of res and I had handed in my keys at 9:05 or so and we were at the ferry terminal at 9:15! The next ferry was at 10:30 so we had lots of time. We had coffee at Starbucks and then went on the ferry!
this is me and my dad on the ferry! After the ferry we just drove and drove and drove. We arrived in Kelowna at around 4:30 or so, and we met my dad's friend, Uncle Barry. We are staying at his house for the night. We had pizzza for dinner and then we went to Uncle Barry's christmas concert with the kelowna city band at the old folks home. Then after the concert, I met up with my friend Cassidy from Calgary. That was super nice and we caught up which was loverly!
Well, I'm going to go to bed now!! XD It's 11:24 now, so I'm starting to wind down after all the coffee!! Nighty night!!

Rise of the Guardians
Yesterday I had the most amazing and fun time!! I went to meet with Stella and Sam (two Chinese international students) and we went to see Rise of the Guardians, it was super awesome!! Definitely one worth seeing in the theatre!! After that fantastic movie, we went shopping for dinner items, where we bought chicken, pork and tomatoes and other necessary items for dinner that evening. Then we took the bus for 40 minutes to get to Sam's house where she cooked for us, it was soo yummyy!! Sam and Stella then gave me lovely prezzies!!
The box of chocolates is from Stella, and the warm buddy teddy is from Sam! Thank you xxx
The teddy bear is named Bazoo Jack Frost. in honour of Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians, Bazoo just because, so I call him BJ for short XD. Sam also had a dark chocolate brown bear and his name is Matthew Henry Sandy. Henry because it just got stuck in my head for some reason, and Sandy in honour of the Sandman who sends sweet dreams to kids at night! He's super cute! hah XD
Here's a bad fuzzy pictures of me and BJ!

Japanese Exam and Korean Dinner!
So today was a big day! (compared to all my ordinary days anyway...)
Last night, I could not fall asleep!! No matter what I tried- counting sheep, meditating, I just couldn't do it! So I think I lay in bed awake for 1 1/2 hours roughly, before I actually fell asleep- so going to bed at 10 didn't work too well for an early night before the exam. Because of this, waking up in the morning wasn't easy either. Luckily, I put my alarm on 1/2 hour earlier so I wasn't going to be late even if I slept in for an hour! (I got up after 20 minutes of my alarm! Yay!) I was on time to my Japanese exam and everything went smoothly. Although I did forget silly things like 'between' and some kanji and how to answer 'yes' to a date... I think it went okay...I hope I do well. I left the exam 25 minutes before the end- we had 3 hours to write it. I then did some errands, like sell my books back to the bookstore. When I bought the books, each one was like $12-16, and there were 5 books, one of them was my theatre book of $92. What I got in total of selling these 5 books was $11.39. And I couldn't sell my theatre book.. What a rip off. So don't buy your school books unless you can't find them elsewhere :( It's a big scam! students are already poor and bookstores only make them poorer :(
Anyway, then I went to get my high school transcript from the university which was by wonderfully, and I got it scanned and emailed off, so my application can finally be sent off...all it's taken at my parents end is 1 whole month, but oh well, at least it's going to get sent!
Then, at 6pm, I went over to Dabin's for dinner! Where I met 3 lovely Korean girls :) and we all ate a delicious korean dinner! IT WAS SO YUMMY!!! After dinner, Dabin gave me lots of goodies <3 super sweet!! We all talked and had tea, and now I'm at home after doing dishes!! Fun times!!
I will probably get a photo or 2 at a later date!! :D

More study
So it's 11:12 AM, and this morning I had porridge for breakfast, and if I run out of food at all for this last week, I'll just eat porridge because that is one thing that I have a lot of. XD haha awesomeness. Okay, so tomorrow is my Japanese final! EEkkkk!! I am so very nervous so I have to study study and study and study some more and do practice stuff and I am very nervous.
Also, I got my hands on a photo that was taken at Nori with some fellow peers and Japanese helper students!! I actually really like this photo
Um, so left is me, next to me is....a chinese international student I believe, who came because he was friends with the guy next to him who is also chinese and he is in the same class as me (as I learned that day...[I sit in the front of the class so I don't really know who is in the class unless they talk to me because I never look back]) Um, then on the other side of the table starting from the farthest away, is my dear friend Akina, and Chikako is next to her and the closest is Sora, my Korean friend who is in the other Japanese class. I just want to say that I would not have made it without Sora to this event, so a big thank you Sora! :D you are the best Unni!!
So yesterday I also said that I was going to Dabin's for dinner which did not happen and to be honest, I was expecting that to happen because it was in the middle of the week, so it's changed to Friday, after my Japanese exam- to celebrate haha :P Just kidding, but it will happen on Friday after my exam and I sell my books! So Saturday- I have no idea whats happening with Sam and Stella, but we'll see!!
This is my last Thursday here!!! WEEE! Okay, well, I have to go put a load of laundry on and then study study study!

Study for Finals!
Afternoon chaps! I have discovered that my usual awakening time is around 9:30 am...usually aha, no earlier nor later, my eyes open around that time pretty reliably. Unless of course I am really tired or I went to bed super early haha. Today is another lovely day with the sun shining, however I didn't run today :( I blame pants, but also, I really needed to get studying- there is ALOT to review and work on. So I woke up, I had breakfast, skyped my mummy and then I turned off my computer to start studying. I had to turn it back on to make some flashcards, but I turned off wifi so I wouldn't/couldn't be distracted. I studied and made flash cards for a solid 3 hours ( hehe :D- just a little proud there) and now I am on a break. It was going to be 15 minutes, but then I got hungry so now it's gone to about 1/2 an hour. Um, so the rest of today will be Japanese studying, maybe a small break with liberal studies studying, but I am not sure about that. I am kind of nervous for these 3 exams, so I should study hard! My Japanese, it's hard because I am having difficulty with how to study all of these things, like I've made flashcards with vocab and location words etc etc, but sentence order I have no idea how to practice or particle usages or listening comprehension...then we have to write a short composition...eek, I am kind of really nervous. This exam is on Friday, and then Saturday is booked as a playday, Sunday and Monday are intense study days for both Japanese oral and liberal studies. Liberal studies, I have 6 questions, 2 of those will be on the exam and I have to write on both of them... meaning I have to prepare for 6 questions, have a outline planned in my head (I cannot bring additional notes) and I'll write on 2 of them...eeeek..I mean they are short essays (500-750 words each) and I have 3 hours to write them...
Friday after my Japanese exam, I am going to sell my books that I don't need for my liberal studies back to the bookstore and the ones that I do need for the exam, I will have to keep them because you can only sell books on Friday to the bookstore, and this friday is my last friday here. I can't wait to see my daddy and I can't wait to see my puppy when I get home to Calgary!! Awweee, I miss him so much, I want to cuddle!! hehe
um, yeah, so I have alot to do!!
This evening, I am supposed to visit Dabin Unni- she said she is going to cook Korean food for me which is super exciting, I am looking forward to it, although she hasn't said what time to come over- she said she'll let me know. I don't know if she has an exam or when her exams are scheduled...I hope it will be okay.
Yeah, so I better get back to studying.
My bum hurts from sitting too much.

A very neat, inspiring, wonderfully made video! + little update!
Hi there!
I came across this documentary this morning and I watched the whole thing, it is very neat! This is definitely worth every minute of it, it addressed everything so straight-forwardly and is so eye-opening. Talk about awakening hahah
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlfYHAV1i8w
it is quite a long one, but it's intriguing and interesting, and it is very worth the time!! Oh, just in case, haha, it addressed 2012 in general, the galactic alignment, and such. It's super cool!
Enjoy!
Also, today is my last day of classes which is pretty exciting! Today was a pretty awesome day, so now it's all studying!! I have plans for dinner on Wednesday with Dabin, (cultural connections buddy) she said she was making korean food for me XD I'm so excited! And then on Friday I have my Japanese final!! Eeek! Saturday, I am supposed to be getting together with Stella and Sam- I am not sure what we are doing- we might go watch a theatre production and cook but I'm not sure. Then I have my Japanese oral Tuesday morning bright and early- I am super nervous....and then my liberal studies essays on Tuesday afternoon. Then, Wednesday, Dad should arrive and we'll be packing up, washing and cleaning and then departing Nanaimo, and arriving in Calgary on the Friday. Followed by a busy weekend of first-aid/CPR/AED. I'll just go up to there for now haha, so time is flying for sure!! O.O I am being told by my friends that I have made here that I shouldn't leave, but it's kind of too late now. I had to make my decision way back in October, yes it was necessary way back then! And you know, I can't change my mind now, and even if I could, I don't think I would. I am not going to regret my decision- I am off to teach skiing for the rest of the year! And you know, I can always come back to university- it's no rush!! I am making my own path and changing course from the main stream. I am doing what I want to do! I am not regretting my decision what-so-ever. And anyway, most of my friends I've made are international students so they'd be leaving at the end of next semester anyway.
Haha, I have convinced my mummy and daddy to wait for me for decorating the tree. I don't want to be away when they put it up!! I love putting it up, it will be weird and I don't like it if I am not there or helping!! They were going to do it tonight, but they didn't get around to it- I asked them to, if they were going to set it up, set up the skype so that I can at the very least watch ahah and be there, haha so I can give advice on where to put the tree haha just kidding
But it looks like I have succeeded in my mission to get them to wait for me! XD
I'll be going off to bed now, ;) night night!

Nuri Japanese Restaurant
So today, the plan was that I go to a Japanese restaurant with my Japanese class and the other japanese class (section 1 & 2) and a whole lot of Japanese helpers. It turned out to be alot of fun, and I have an amazing story to go along with this event haah
So, the bus direct to Woodgrove from VIU left at 11:31 am and the lunch was at 12 and the bus arrived at Woodgrove at 11:54 and it was only a few minutes away from Woodgrove so that was all good. So I left my room at 11:25 and I waited...and I waited some more and when it was 11:40- I thought to myself-- %$*#(%& I missed it....%&()#&%(@)!%. So there I was, standing in the rain, madly sending help text messages to Sora (Section 2 Japanese class) and Akina (Japanese helper) to try and help me find an alternative bus route to get me to the restaurant. Sora managed to text me to take the 4 and then transfer to the number 1 at the country club to get to woodgrove, she would wait for me at woodgrove centre and we would walk together to the restaurant because she knew where it was. Sounds great, I got on the 4 that showed up 5 minutes later, and then I told myself 'country club'.................... I haven't been to the country club before, or in that direction at all, so I was hoping it was going to be obvious. It was a 20 minute ride and yes it was an obvious stop to get off at because there were other buses stopped there, so I transferred to the number 1 to woodgrove and everything went reasonably smoothly. I arrived at Woodgrove centre at 12:30 or so and now contacting Sora was another challenge. I'd only met Sora once in person, and that was at a Korean friend's birthday party, so I didn't exactly remember what she looked like. haha, I called her and then we ended up making contact after we saw each other talking to each other on the phone across the transfer location so we met up and walked through the mall. We ended up illegally crossing the road- I think it was called 'the island highway'- um- yeah- it just sounds dangerous but it ended up being okay and no close deaths, it was just really rainy that's all, which made climbing the banks of either side of the highway more dangerous than the actual crossing. haha Um, so we arrived at the restaurant and I think there were 23 people there so that was totally awesome :) It was soo much fun and we ended up eating a very yummy meal, I have sushi and sashimi bento box which was delicious and it was the yummiest thing of my life, there was also tempura and it was absolutely delish! I made lots of new friends, one of them by the name of Chikako :) Also, what was kind of embarrassing but not really, was when we were talking about what classes we were from, and Chikako pointed out that the guy that was sitting opposite her was from the same class that I was in, but I honestly had/have no idea what the dude's name was and I think I had seen him once or twice before, but it was awkward. I sit in the very front of the class so I don't see anyone else in the class unless they sit next to me or behind me, and if they're behind me, I have to be partnered with them for me to meet them and that doesn't happen often and usually my partners are the same person. hah, so that was pretty funny. I stayed for around 2 hours or so and Sora and I left together too because our buses came at around the same time. Walking back through the mall, I ran into another Japanese helper student which I'd never actually spoken too, but we had made eye contact more than once in the class so I stopped to say hi and introduce myself quickly, I found her name to be Numi and her friend who was another helper Minami I think, but I couldn't chat for long because we had buses to catch. Unfortunatly, unless I run into her at school again, I probably won't ever see her again because there is only Monday's classes left and I don't have Japanese on Mondays. :( Um, yeah, so on the way back, I caught the right bus and went directly back to school and now here I am. I finished my research paper- yay!! and all I really need to do now is study, study, study.
So today's outing was alot of fun and it's been solidly raining all day today, not misting, actual raindrops have been in a constant downfall all night and alllllll day long, ding-a-ding-ding.
It's Dec 1, so now only 24 days until Christmas!!
I have nothing planned for tomorrow which means I should start studying...haha see you later! :D

2nd last weekend
Today is the beginning of my second last weekend here in Nanaimo, the town where nothing happens! Yay! This weekend actually is quite eventful, this evening in approximately 10 minutes, I am heading out to our theatre on campus because there are showing christmas movies. I am going with my friend, a chinese exchange student, Stella, so that should be lots of fun! I don't know what they're showing, but it should be good. Um, however, it is raining outside, not like a little, but a lot, so I'll get wet outside haha, oh well. But this has also stopped my running- again- :( so I didn't run yesterday and depending on if it's raining tomorrow or not, I may or may not go running tomorrow.
Also, I've signed up for a first-aid/CPR/AED course the weekend that I arrive in Calgary, so it'll pretty much be, arrive in Calgary on Friday, Saturday and Sunday I have that course from 9am-4 pm and then I don't know what will happen, I might start my training for COP before I start, or I don't know what's happening because I haven't heard a whole lot from winsport. Oh well, we'll see I guess.
So this weekend, I have to finish my research paper and it's at the same status as it was yesterday so nothing really has changed. Um, I got an email from residence about all the things we have to do if we're moving out...omg it sounds tiring.. the thing is, the mattress pad has to be washed and folded-obviously, but I want to know how I'm going to do that, like, that means I'll have to do laundry the day I'm leaving which is not what I planned, but I mean, I guess it does sort of make sense and I probably could do it if I absolutely have to but still, like GOSH.
Also, I am craving chocolate like a mad-woman... >.<
Yeah, so I have to go to meet Stella now ;) I'll update tomorrow, because there is an event tomorrow too which should be fun, but I'm not going to tell you what it is yet (although, I've probably mentioned it already in a previous post) and i'll tell you all about it after the fact! :D Byebye!!

Last Japanese Class... :'(
Hellooo, it's Thursday and almost 1 o'clock. This will be my last Japanese class today :( I'm going to miss it I think.. :'( Although, today we are finishing lesson 5 off and then it's a review class and practice for our Japanese oral exam, I think- if I practice I'll be fine...I am the first one to go, so it should be fun. Also, yesterday I got an email from our liberal studies professors and they told us the 6 questions and that 2 of them will be on the final and you have to write a short essay about them, there will be no choice in the questions which sucks, and so Im going to develop my ideas for each of them and bookmark quotes in all of the books so I'll be prepared even if I have to go in with no outline or anything..oh well. It'll be quite the experience I think. I think we have 4 hours to write them so I'm not too worried about the length of time.
I made porridge for lunch today and it was delicious, but raisins and apple and brown sugar would have made it the bestest ever, but I didn't have any so I just put some honey on it and it was still delicious.
I've also run out of toilet paper...this sucks....I have no idea what my bathroom buddy's situation is but I have no more left, I'm debating on whether to just use tissues instead of going to buy more toilet paper because I only have like Friday, Saturday, next week and then sunday, monday, tuesday, and leaving on wednesday- oh maybe I should go and get some....ackk, this sucks haha
Ok well, tomorrow I suppose I'll have to go down to the store and get some :( haha
For my research, all I have to get done is my conclusion then finish editing it and then it's done! It's due Monday and has taken lots and lots of time. I like my angle hah
Well, I don't think I have anything else to say! byebye

Excitement
So last night the most exciting thing happened. I was working on my essay (and I was on a bit of a roll) and then the fire alarm went off. I was like "............oh.......shit." so then I opened my door and looked out- there was nobody- I was like "..." then people started coming out of the kitchen and their rooms and there was a whole ton of smoke coming from the kitchen. So I came and grabbed my phone, my -20 degree winter jacket and my keys, locked my room, turned off the lights, and went outside. Apparently, someone burned his steak and then the fire truck came and we were stuck outside for a good 20 minutes. After they'd got everything under control, we were allowed to go back in and it was hazy and smokey- it smelled like burnt steak and there was definitely a thin layer of smoke everywhere on the first floor. That was exciting, so this guy ended up paying $350 worth for getting the fire-truck here because he wasn't paying attention when he cooking the steak. That was fun, wasn't it. At least now we know that the fire-alarm system works...in case you had any doubts before. It funny too, because just the other day, a girl set off the smoke alarm in her room because she was blow-drying her hair, but it didn't set the whole floor off. I think they also figured out that the smoke alarm in the kitchen doesn't work, because it got picked up by the sensors in the hallway...
Oh well, that was the most excitement I've had in res since I moved in!
Anyway, It's 7:59 AM and I have a class at 8:30, after class I'm going into the language lab and then coming home to study for my theatre quiz- actually more like memorize answers and words in the questions- this quiz will be super easy haha and I'll work on my essay--Oh I'm also asking my liberal studies prof how to in-text quote a quoted quote. Should be fun haha
Okay, well, I'll talk to you later!! xx

Just stuff
Wow, so this morning I actually convinced myself to go for a run which was very nice although it was very cold and wet outside and all I have are sweat pants to run in...so when I get back to Calgary that is one thing I am definitely going to buy myself- a pair of running pants, I have 3/4 length running pants but that's it...anyways, so that was nice and I'm planning on going again on Thursday because even though it's cold and there is water everywhere and it's icy, I am going to go for a run again because it's not supposed to rain this week.
I have been working hard on my research paper and it's slowly coming together...there are a few sentences I have to fix, and the end of my introduction needs massaging and I need to work on my last paragraph and I actually need to write my conclusion, then after it's editing and then Monday is the due date. So I have quite a bit to do still for that!
Japanese class is still super awesome, and unfortunately Thursday is my last class I believe, but she is running a review class on Tuesday for her other japa 100 class so I might sneak into that one too just for some practice but we'll see!
Theatre, I don't care much, there is a final quiz on Thursday that our prof has given us the questions and answers to so that's going to be a piece of cake haha, my theatre history class has a last final quiz I think on Monday which she's planning on it being really short because we missed a class because of the strike, so she cancelled a movie that wraps up the course, but oh well, both those classes are a joke anyway. Easy marks!! :)
Yeah, so I only have 2 weekends left here and like 4 more days of regular classes...it's going by so quickly!!
And I have no more toilet paper left, and I really hope that my bathroom buddy has some otherwise I'm going to have to buy more even though I'll only be here for like 2 more weeks :( I don't want to buy toilet paper!!

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Monday
I absolutely cannot believe that there is only this week + Monday next week and that's it for classes! I then have 2 days of exams, 2 on the same day, but wow! This semester has flown by! I like university much better than high school anyday! But wowee!!
This morning I got woken by my bathroom buddy's alarm which is an irritating phone ring, and then she went in the shower, during which time, my alarm went off (which is music and it's at a very low volume because if it's any louder it scares the bejeezes out of me when I wake up) and I did not hear it...and then by the time she was done her shower, my alarm was no longer playing (It only plays for 1/2 an hour) Then I kind of dozed back off to near sleep when it all of a sudden hit me that I absolutely must get up because I have class at 8:30, and at that, I sat up and reached over for my phone to see if I had gotten an email to see if there was a strike today and then I could indeed stay in bed longer. No such email existed, so I was forced to get up and go to class. It ended up being a good class, and when I came back to my room afterwards, I worked on my research paper until 12:40 where I looked at the clock and said HOLY H#%U$(8$#*)&% I have class at 1!! And now, I have finished my theatre classes and I have made myself some spaghetti and now I am waiting for 6:20 to come so I can head out to the grocery shuttle and participate in my last round of grocery shopping for the rest of my semester. Yay. I'm planning on getting yummy things this time too. hehe
Um, I don't need that much really, just a stock up on a few things, like peanut butter and...cereal...and..um...bread...yeah...just the basics really. hehe, but this requires the shuttle because I don't like the food store down the street that much.
Alright, so my research paper is going....it's just going. I've discovered that I really like honey. And that's about all I learned today. haha XD I hope you had a wonderful day too!!

The weekend
Well, it just looks like my computer is extremely temperamental. I went down the that stupid boutique downtown and they said 'well, its working...come down during the week when our technician is here and bring your charger." I'm like, f*** I don't have time to bring down my computer AGAIN- and then they said we have no loans, we don't do that. so I'd absolutely have to go down during the week-like that's happening. So I ended up walking around downtown for the majority of the day, which was quite nice because the weather was gorgeous- sunny and a clear blue sky. so I got quite a good amount of exercise, but no homework got done..so that's the plan for today. This morning, I got up around 9:20 am and went for a run...nice to be out again, but there nowhere that's long enough unless I go around and around the track but that is sooo boring!! Um, yeah, so now, I am nice and clean and getting ready for a good solid day of homework- I have so much to do, I'm kind of panicking if I'll have enough time. Plus due to the strike, in my theatre history class, we missed a day of play reading and so we haven't finished/heard 3 plays and our play reviews are due tomorrow--I'm hoping she'll move it to after we've finished the plays...but she hasn't emailed us yet or anything...so I have to fill out 3 sheets based on Aristotles tragedies....eww....I also have to do a seminar note on one of Montaigne's essays- how lovely is that. I also have to finish reading Sue Monk Kidd's The Dance of the Dissident Daughter for my research paper that's due on Dec 3 which is coming up frighteningly quickly. I have to also do Japanese- obviously -lots of self-study assignments and I have a katakana quiz tomorrow and O.O- Japanese is always quite time-consuming. if I put my mind to it- without getting distracted I could probably get it done.
I am also getting quite very frustrated with COP- yes I got a full-time job offer which is fantastic but there is a huge lack of communication, so I don't know if they got my email or what...I don't like that. At all. Is that normal? That there is bad communication between a business like COP and a new employee???? :( I don't like it.

ARRGG, I just had an amazing time with Dabin, my cultural connections buddy- we watched Tangled and ordered pizza which was delicious....we watched Tangled on my computer because I have it, but it didn't have english subtitles so that's a shame because Dabin likes to have them.
So because we watched it on my computer, i unplugged it from the charger and now it's back on the charger- and it's not charging- it's doing the same thing it did before which means they didn't fix it :(( I am soo unhappy- this means I have to go down tomorrow morning- AGAIN and tell them that they didn't fix it. I am so angry. COME ON they had it for a week and I got behind and now I've sort of caught up but now it's doing the same thing it did before...ARRGG so frustrating!!
Tomorrow I am going to ask for a loan computer because I can't be without for another week. Gosh, I am so upset. Like, really? You had my computer for a whole week!! Did they not test it? I mean, it worked fine the first ime I plugged it in when I got it on Thursday but now it's not working again, WTF...I am so mad!! >.< So that ended my lovely evening rather horribly!

My goodness...!!
I am reading up for my research paper and my mum recommended a book to me and managed to send it to me on amazon, it arrived today. The first 3 pages set me on fire-man it hit a nerve for sure. Definitely, this book is one to read, just my reaction to the first few pages went from O.O to >.< to OMG I"M GONNA KILL YOU to >.<....yeah...it definitely hit a nerve
This book is The Dance of The Dissident Daughter by Sue Monk Kidd
Yeah, read it. It arrived this morning at 10:20 or so and I haven't put it down yet and it's 12:40 now...that's how good it is. Some amazing awakenings happened to me just through literature...omg.
just....
wow

Happily Reunited!
Hiii!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh man, it definitely is nice to be typing once again!! About this HUUGGEE gap that I've just had inbetween this blog and my last blog is that in short, my computer had a hard-drive failure.... the battery was at 20% and wouldn't charge because when I plugged it in, it said it was fully-charged but it was only at 20%...so that's how I identified a problem, so then I took it down to the apple store last Saturday to get it fixed and then they called me this morning to inform me it was ready and so here I am now, happily reunited with my lovely computer!! man, its quite amazing to see how reliant I am on my computer...especially with school and everything too-like having my Japanese audio files on my computer- not on my iPod obviously, and then not being able to do any research because I didn't have a computer- and the worst of all of these past 2 days, there has been a strike!! So I couldn't even go and use the library or anything haha...fun stuff.
So that's pretty much what has happened...
1. computer hard-drive failure
2. Strike on Tuesday and Wednesday
3. Couldn't write my research paper on those two lovely days because I had no computer!
4. I GOT ACCEPTED AT COP AS A FULL-TIME SKI INSTRUCTOR!!WWOOTTT!!
I totally thought I didn't get it because it's been 3 weeks since the interview...but they emailed me yesterday and said 'OFFICIAL JOB OFFER!' WAHHOOO!! So now I have full time employment at COP for 4 months yay!
One last thing, I am so very glad that I got an iPhone because if it wasn't for the iPhone I wouldn't have been able to email my teachers about my computer, I wouldn't have been able to do anything!!! So I am very, very, very glad that my daddy sent me an iPhone to replace the phone that went through the washing machine! SO thank you very much daddy!!!!! <3 <3

Good Food Box Wednesday
Hey! Guess what? I got another bag of potatoes!!! yippee. Oh well, these ones are more manageable size so they can be a side dish rather than the whole dish...and then I can eat more of them haha...I also got the regular bag of carrots, two brocolli and a GRAPEFRUIT and a YAM!! Two oranges, 3 apples, um, an orange pepper, 2 onions...and I think that's it! So excited for the grapefruit, and for dinner tonight, I think I am going to cook up pasta and a baked potato!! The yam is absolutely gigantic! I can't wait to eat it XD
Yeah- that's all... hehe
Yeah- that's all... hehe

Research Paper...----.----
** yaawwwwnnn **
I am in bed right now, I am working on my research paper...refining and re-wording and I've managed to cut down my 994 something paper to 400~~ something.. >.< I was planning on having it finished my tomorrow, but I don't think that's going to happen. I've been re-wording and re-thinking and looking up new sources and things and I only have two main topics that I'm talking about- 1 is the importance of knowing opposites of love and fear to help identify the role of suffering to achieve a connection with the divine, and I'm also talking about how suffering is fear in disguise... O.o
Lots of fun stuff I have to say...
How one gives rise to the other and how there has to be opposites for everything for things to be in balance. Oh man, I am so tired and I have an 8:30 lecture tomorrow morning so I am probably not going to get this done tonight at all!! I have pushed my goal to Friday, but Monday is my very last deadline for myself- if it's not done for Monday- F*** everything. No, it'll definitely be done by Friday... ^.^
I have lots to do...
Like this weekend, I absolutely HAVE to write some letters which means I have to go downtown to explore the shops to find nice cards- and I am not taking the bus which means it'll probably be an all day trip but should be good and I am really, really hoping that it's going to be successful. Also, I must, must, must remind my father to send off my student loan papers if he didn't do it today...and my labo intern application must be send off soon too- I have got my reference letters (Thank you!! Much appreciated!! <3 ) and so they need to be sent off too!! But luckily, I am counting on my family to do that because they are much more mobile than me!
I signed up for my Japanese oral exam which is on the morning of my liberal studies exam which is Tuesdsay Dec 11-- I chose this time-it's at 10:00 and it's a 15 minute oral exam which is really short compared to my french oral exams in high school- so I'm hoping it'll be okay. My liberal studies exam starts at 1 and ends at 4...and I have no idea what kind of thing to expect from this class because it's been nothing but opinions and essay work for the whole year...and this is a written but not an essay..so I'm kind of worried...hahaha....
So this weekend, it'll be busy, but I won't have to worry about my research paper because it will be complete! My marks and assignments are all in for my theatre classes except the final quiz (obviously) because these quizzes take place in the last week of classes...My history of theatre class, I think I still have to complete 2 more notebook assignments, but we complete them in class so really they are not a big deal.
Tomorrow is going to be quite a busy day- I have to work on my research paper (duh..) and I have quite a bit of Japanese homework to do because our class is quite behind in the schedule apparently...eeeekkkk---whhyy? ---.----
Um, that's it I think for now. =.= I am kind of tired right now....so I am probably going to finish off and head to sleep!!
Night night!! xx

Monday
No classes today! Yippee!! Play play play!! But not really, I have so much to do- I have a Japanese quiz tomorrow and I have to write a draft for my research paper...eeekkk--yes it's the same research paper that i've been talking about for the past couple weeks..haha :P
So today I am actually going to start writing it as I think I now have all my sources.
This morning I went to the grocery store and bought some cereal, bread, baked beans and rice pudding. I was going to buy some more muffins but they didn't have any- which was probably a good thing haha. I bought rice pudding instead to replace those muffins haha. It's another rainy misty day here, but it's not actually raining outside or even misting really, it's just really really damp and foggy outside. I was kind of disappointed that it didn't rain because I ended up bringing my umbrella all the way there and back without using it... oh well. hah, but I guess it is a good thing too because that umbrella is soooooooo big, it's such a pain to dry- I have to actually wipe it off because I have no place to dry it haha- and if I do, it always ends up dripping on my bed...so that's no good haha.
I am going to finish this blog and finish drinking my tea and then tonight I am going to cook rice for dinner I think haha--if I finish my research paper--I am hoping on it because I want to watch Downton Abbey while I'm eating dinner haha- we'll I'll talk to you later !! xxxxxxxxxx

Hi, it's Saturday, and I am not doing anything! The weather is not too bad today so I think I should probably go for a walk...we'll see if that actually happens. I have not heard anything from COP so I think I am assuming that I was not successful. I've been looking for other places, and I've applied for a full-time position at the airport which would be pretty neat. I'm also applying for being a cashier at a small organic store in Calgary- if all else fails lol- I don't think I'd mind working there either so it doesn't really matter, as long as I am earning and it's not a job that sucks too bad. I'll also apply to MEC if they have an opening anytime soon....and I'll find other places- maybe the library or the YMCA or something. I don't know- I'll figure it out eventually. haha, anyway, it's only for the rest of the year so it should be okay.
Dabin has posted the photos of our lunch and cafe time together so I'll post them!!
Nothing else is on the agenda other than study and maybe see if I can get a little creative with cooking, like heating up some soup or cooking pasta, so we'll see. haha :)

long weekend is here!
Wow! It's Friday already! That week went by fast! But I'm glad because now it's the long weekend, yippeee!! (Not that I have anything planned anyway...except for writing my research paper....) Today I am supposed to hear back from COP in Calgary if I got the job or not...so far...nothing....
Later today, I have a Japanese study group in the library, that should be fun, i'm kind of excited to see what that's all about. I also have to read 10 poems I think from a book called Metaphysical Poetry- sounds like fun, eh? haha we'll see how much fun I can have with that book! :P Another thing on my agenda for the weekend is to clean my room again and maybe go downtown one of these days to..I don't know...eat cake? haha
I heard that there was a whole TON of snow in Calgary- haha- there are still green leaves on the trees here and it's blue sky today but it's cold still- not as cold as Calgary, but still requiring a jacket. I think I am starting to get snow withdrawal symptoms... it feels like september or october weather and my body doesn't believe it's November because there is no snow and I haven't yet worn my winter jacket, or required mittens or a hat outside... O.O
In fact, I might convince myself to go downtown today maybe walk on the waterfront for a bit or something and of course visit some kind of bakery or something haha. Um, but that's always fun to do with someone else but we'll see...!!
I honestly have nothing else to share...I don't think...Oh, okay, there is something quite funny. Yesterday I was speaking with my friend on skype and I asked her "Have you spoken to Bronwyn lately?" Brownyn is another good friend of mine who is in eastern canada studying some intensely difficult engineering science. And she replied with "What? Have I smoked marijuana lately?"hahahah I just thought that was the funniest thing ever. haha Hopefully you laughed :P LOL

Lemon Cranberry Muffins
Happy Lunchtime haha.Yesterday and so far today has been extremely uneventful. Except yesterday I went grocery shopping and bought myself some lemon cranberry muffins!! Yummyy!! I ate one for breakfast and it was delicious! Yeah...so I kind of went crazy yesterday and bought myself yummy food. haha :D Yesterday I was also fasting...and today I have Japanese class at 2:30, and there was study group session set up at 1 pm today...but it looks like only me and the host are going...so I might not go to that one- i can study better by myself anyway. Um, well, that's really all I have to say. haha I should be able to eat cranberry lemon muffins every day until Sunday! Yay!!!!
Oh yesterday was also a gorgeous day in the morning!! After liberal studies I went for a run and man, not running for 3 weeks was a bad idea- but oh well, it went rather well ;) Then it clouded over in the afternoon and today is raining again, so it was good thing I took advantage of the sun while it was here! Um, I think that's it. I don't really have anything else to say. I am shaking in my wee little boots to hear back from COP to whether I passed the interview or not...I should know by friday..or on friday...eeeeekkkk...!!!!
I also bought myself some chocolate O.O Just a small bar- I stopped myself from buying the biggest one they had there....so I just got a small one :) I haven't cracked it open yet- because once I do that I'll eat it all the same day! Well, I've got roughly 2 hours before my Japanese class starts so I am going to study for my kanji quiz today!! Byebye!!!

Green Leaves in November
Greetings, another Sunday goes by, but this one received an extra hour, isn't that nice. Fantastic, another hour to study..but I didn't end up using it very wisely. Oops. I did most of my homework yesterday, but I still had quite a few things to do today and I didn't use my time wisely enough, so most of it got poorly done...tomorrow and Tuesday will be quite hectic trying to figure out what I didn't do so that I can do it without any point deduction. Oh well, maybe it would've been a good idea if I got an agenda at the beginning of the year...oh well, no point in it now though. I'll know for next time ;P
Tomorrow I am going shopping for more food because I've noticed that I go through cereal alot faster now-a-days....not too good...but I suppose now that I've noticed I bring it back down to normal. Another thing I've noticed, is that my consumption of bread has decreased dramatically. A loaf will now last me 2 weeks rather than 1 week. Wow. That's good. Well, tonight is going to be an early night so that I can easily get up tomorrow morning. I miss running so much- but the weather is so bad outside that I can't, but apparently, tomorrow the forecast looks okay, so maybe I'll convince myself to go out after liberal studies. Or I'll wait until Tuesday morning--but then the weather isn't too good....oh man, this sucks. I miss my treadmill...
I'm finding it really hard to believe it's already November...there are still green leaves on the trees here...and no snow...but GREEN LEAVES there are actually LEAVES on the trees still!! I can't believe it, it still feels like September or early October. But nope, it's November. I have a feeling that this month is also going to fly by...man, I love university. It's absolutely fantabulous.
Yesterday evening, I went to see the theatre play that I auditioned for, but didn't check if I made it or not- yeah that one Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. It was actually very enjoyable. I liked it alot, it was $10 and an evening well spent. However, I almost did leave at intermission though because I didn't realize there was an intermission and no one told me...but luckily one of the ushers told me when I was about that leave that it is only intermission. I believe in their program they should've mentioned it-- I was wondering why the play ended so abruptly haha... At the beginning I had difficulty hearing the actors though, their voices sounded muffled and I believe they also needed to work on their projection- not just their articulation. I am not sure if that was just me, or if everyone else couldn't hear them properly either.. I don't know. Um, what else...?
Nope, I think that's all I have to say....I miss my classical music and any kind of live music in my life....I want to go to a concert or something- I need to hear and witness the beauty of classical music again...^^hehe
I was supposed to read a book called The Princesse de Cleves...and I ended up skimming it and now I have to write seminar notes on it...but I didn't actually read it...so it should be interesting...I also have to write a research paper that I haven't done anything for yet....I was hoping to get that done this weekend too, but it didn't happen :( I am beginning to get behind in that writing essay stuff. I mean, it's not due until Dec 3...but the rough draft was due on Friday but I didn't get around to even begin writing it yet because it's a research paper. I do have 1 set of external sources, but I still need 2 more...and all the books that I would look it are at home and they don't have those types of books here in the school library, which means I might actually need to go down the the public library for some study...but we'll see I suppose if I ever have time. Oh yes, speaking of homework, I have another page of Kanji to learn for Japanese, but I really don't like the way that it's all set up, because they don't actually have the word meaning on the page where we practice how to write it, so I'm practising how to write a word that I don't know it's meaning for!!! STUPID!! Why doesn't it say the meaning golly gosh darn it!! Yeah, so that's making me a little frustrated. It's like' HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO LEARN KANJI IF YOU DON'T TELL ME WHAT THEY MEAN??!!
Oh well, I guess that's life I suppose. ARG
Well, I'll talk to you later with more exciting news of the life of Heidi. :P

Too much food..hehe
Oh my gosh, it's already 3 pm...hah oh well. Today it is raining, raining and raining ;) hehe, but that's okay because I don't need to do anything outside today. Except this morning, I really wanted to go for a run, but it's actually raining and I don't have a running jacket- it's in Calgary- so I had to miss out. Oh well,
Yesterday was lots of fun. I met up with my cultural connections buddy and we went out for lunch downtown. We ended up going to a place called 2 Chefs...it was good but I don't think it'd recommend it or go there again specifically. It's not bad, just not excellent either. Then we walked around after and went shopping and ended up in a cafe drinking Pumpkin caramel lattes and eating a nanaimo bar (my first!!) and a huge gigantic berry tart thing. It was delicious! The nanaimo bar was wayy to sweet!! But it was still yummy, hehe and the berry tart was absolutely huge but I liked that one better. We ended up eating it all after that lunch and we were so very full, and I didn't end up eating dinner because we ate so much haha. It was lots of fun and I am very glad we got to see each other again! This is my meal:
A Half drunk Pumpkin Caramel Latte!
My first ever Nanaimo Bar:
This huge ass berry tart!
Dabin's Lunch:
It was very tasty!!
Tonight I am planning on going to see the theatre's production for my theatre classes, Um, I have nothing better to do at 8 on Saturday night haha, I have to write a review on it anyway :) byebye!

Ribbons
First, I just wanted to say Thank You to my dear Nanu and Pappy who sent me a parcel containing many goodies, some including chocolate and ribbons and socks :) Much appreciated!!

Next this morning was quite the episode!! I went to my liberal studies class, and then it finished at 10 and I had 1/2 an hour until my interview...then it hit me. There's an hour time difference between Calgary and Nanaimo. F******%&$(%&$#*@)%&$)!#&^(@$&%^(%$*)!*
So I messaged and emailed I'm so sorry! Please let me reschedule, I am very keen on this interview etc etc, and then they called me and said no worries, and so I got my interview, but man, it was so nerve-wracking...I was like "AHHH%&($&%($#&%(&$#(%$&# I'm going to miss a great opportunity :(( But luckily, they were understand and I had a great interview:)) pheweefff!
Now it is to my excitment that I am going out to eat fish and chips for lunch today, yay!! With my cultural connections buddy Dabin, so that's all good :) I'll hear by the end of next week whether I was successful or not! I hope I am, that would be totally fantastic XD We'll see when the time comes I suppose!
Also, I've written my internship essay and application that I should be scanning sometime this weekend to send to my parents so they can sign it and complete it and then send it off!! WAHHOOOO!! life's good and moving XD
Lots of Love xx

Pinch Punch First of the Month!!
I am so flabbergasted right now!! It's already November 1st! Holy time flies!! It definitely does not feel like November considering there is no snow on the ground here! In fact, my window is wide open right now since my room has gotten really stuffy in these past few days because the weather has been so rainy! I've been super busy, writing essays and more essays and practising Japanese and homework and more essays, but it's all good fun really! I have to write a rough draft of my research paper tomorrow...but all I've done so far is collecting quotes and secondary sources. I've found only 2 but I need 3 and this research paper has to be so long...and there is no way I'm going to have a rough draft for tomorrow- I hope this won't hurt my fabulous grade too much- I doubt it though! I cleaned up my room today and put clean sheets on the bed and packed away my summer clothing and bought a VIU hoodie!! It's yellow which is definitely a change from my constant black which I seem to have alot of. Also, I received a parcel from my Nanu and Pappy in New Zealand today! Best day ever!!!!!!!! They send me some socks to replace the ones that I have lost in the wash, and some chocolate (It's funny, because yesterday I was craving some!!) and I got ribbons for my hair YAY!! and a cutsie laundry bag and a lovely embroidered material to go on my wall! That definitely made my day today! Also, the school play of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead opens today which I must go and see for my theatre classes...so maybe tomorrow evening. Um tomorrow I am having my interview with COP which I'm super excited for and after I am going downtown with my cultural connections buddy and we're going to have fish and chips and I really hope it doesn't rain! Also while I am downtown I will be going to the police station to get a police check done :) Uhh, I also have o read Madame de Lafayette for Monday which I am not looking forward to because it seems like such a long book...my original plan was to read it in french, untranslated to compare the two versions, but considering it's length and the time I have to read it in, i've decided I am going to stick to the english translation. Lovely, so I have quite a busy weekend ;) Lots of Love xxxx

Update!!!!! XD
Wow!! It's actually raining out there!! My coat is wet!! I actually have to hang it on my drying rack instead of hanging it in the closet! haha
Yesterday I went grocery shopping and bought lots of yummy stuff!! But, I couldn't actually eat any of it until this morning because I was fasting again!! I had to take a week's break from fasting because it was just too stressful and I was hungry and I was getting grumpy and I couldn't think without thinking of my stomach and how hungry I was..so yesterday was my first fast after a week off and it was easy and wonderful! I love feeling that emptiness in the evening haha. Also, I bought some egyptian licorice tea and it is so delicious!! I could drink that yesterday and it made my day all better!! I don't need honey in that one so it's all good! Also I've stopped taking almond milk in my chai tea and my hot chocolate because I can't afford it- so now it's only used in cereal which works well, so I don't have to buy lots and lots of those little almond milk containers! But a bad thing is because it's raining I haven't been running!! :( I am still doing yoga but no running!! I will if it ever is not raining again, and I will definitely once I get back to Calgary (there is a treadmill in the basement!)! So I guess I can wait until then!
Today I only had one class which was Japanese, and after Thursday I had this period where I was like, I've forgotten how hard language studying is...and how much time it takes up..so I kind of got behind in my homework...so I have to go in tomorrow and hand in a sheet that was due today, but she won't take any marks off if it's handed in tomorrow so--phewww I'm so lucky!!
Tomorrow I have an interview with the COP ski hill in Calgary as a full-time instructor!! YAY!! I am really hoping I'll get it! That would be super cool! So that'll be my second legit interview! Did I talk about Castle Mountain in my last blog...?? I did indeed. I've declined that offer because they actually don't guarantee me any hours...so one day I might not get any work and still have to pay accomodation which is just taking money from my pocket that I don't have because I didn't earn anything!! And I've accepted the part-time weekender one at Nakiska which is super awesome! So I definitely have a weekend job!! And if I get this full time at COP that would be super awesome! So I'm pretty darn excited about life!
I've discovered what is it I like about the dramas that I watch. It's the joy of life. Give that one some thought and see what you think of. haha XD
Um, yeah, so I have Japanese homework to do, an intern essay to finish writing and a rough draft of my research paper to do!! All before Friday! Yippee!! I better get cracking! I'll try to update more regularly! Sorry Oma and Opa <3 !!

Life Goes On
Good Morning, it is a very cloudy, misty rain type of day here in Nanaimo at 10:17 am. I could NOT get up for my liberal studies class this morning, but I ended up getting up and still making it in ample time, so no worries. Doing another round of laundry this morning and then I'm off to meeting my cultural connections buddy at 1pm in the cafe on campus. Speaking of food, yesterday I went to the cafeteria to grab a bite and see what they had, but I was incredibly disappointed- I ended up having a cold hard sandwich and some overpriced coconut water. It was bad, I did not enjoy it, but oh well. I found that they did sell thai noodle bowls :) YAY and dried fruit and nut packs so that's good, so I can get that there instead of at the grocery store if my bag is too heavy. Oh grocery bag: I went and cooked in the kitchen the other day and I used my frying pan and obviously I didn't think that hot things can burn through bags, so I put my hot frying pan into my grocery bag only to find it melted and sticking to my frying pan...luckily it all comes off and my grocery bag doesn't have a too big of a hole in it, so it's all good lol.
Yesterday, I also had my first legit interview over Skype with Castle Mountain ski resort. I got a job offer for I believe full-time level 1 ski istructing! Yay!! Super excited about that! The pay isn't great, but it's okay, I still have to decide whether I should accept it or not. But I am bubbling with excitement! I also went to see the counselor yesterday and he supported everyone else- the popular vote and so it's set in stone, I am not enrolled in any courses for next semester, I have no residence room and I am absolutely 100% coming to Calgary and then not attending VIU for the rest of the semester. I love it here, I love my classes and my friends, so I am going to work hard and keep up my excellent marks and continue having an amazing time!! I decided I want a VIU sweater. So maybe I'm going to buy one later today or something, I also have to go down to Terminal Avenue to mail the alberta student loan form, so yay! i get to go down to the post office in the rain later today yay! Should be fun! I think that's all I have to say for now :)

It's set
So it's set. I am moving back to Calgary in December. I have spoken to the counselor, I went down to finance and spoke with registration and went to talk with cedar residence registration. I am all cancelled here and I am moving back to Calgary on Dec 13 or so! If I change my mind, I'll be at the bottom and probably wait-listed for everything. It's been a great experience and I love it here, it's just not for me :) Life's good and I'm going to get excellent marks for these courses this semester. I'm ready to explore the world and work and travel and work and explore and fun stuff :) I can always come back to university anytime I want :) For up to the first year, I can just enroll in courses that I want, and if I want to come back after a year all I have to do is reapply- easy peesy! Okay, all that's left is to eat at the cafeteria lol I'm planning on it after Japanese class, which reminds me i have to do my japanese homework--so byebye!

Ski-Hills
Wowee, so this morning was my first day of running in the rain haha lots of fun that is, I'll tell you! Today and yesterday I've had to work on an essay I have to write in class tomorrow and man, I am so very nervous for it!
I've got an interview for Castle Mountain- I've never skied here before, but it is a little far away from Calgary, 2.5 hours...so a little too far for me. I haven't heard anything back from Lake Louise yet, and I can't remember if they contact the candidates that didn't make it...Okay, I have potential in Nakiska, and Castle Mountain and maybe Lake Louise...we'll see haha
Sunshine, apparently, they are all finished hiring- I just received an email- which is really funny because on their website, there was nothing whatsoever to do with ski instructing since the beginning of october..oh well. haha
So I've been given lots of positive feed-back and now the only thing I really need to worry about is my essay that I have to write tomorrow O.O
Byebye!

Soo tired...
morning...oh my gosh I am so tired. There is absolutely no reason for it- I've been to my class early this morning, and practically slept through the seminar and now I'm back...debating about whether I should get started on my outline for my in-class essay I have to write on Wednesday. I honestly, can't wait until I'm done this semester...actually, that's not quite true. I love it here and I am enjoying my time left here- I still have 7 weeks excluding this week haha. Weeks are going by so quickly!! I can't believe that halloween is next week Wednesday- honestly it doesn't feel like halloween. I want it to feel like Christmas if anything, but it doesn't feel like that either. Yes, it's cold, but there is no snow like there is in Calgary to go with the halloween. I have absolutely nothing planned for halloween and I've had 3 people ask me what I have planned. I'm not a big fan of halloween so if it were up to me, it'd be just a normal day. I probably won't end up doing anything special because it is a Wednesday and Wednesday's are my busiest day. Yeah, um the leaves are falling off the tree outside my window now...they've een falling off alot recently but there is definitely the good majority still attached. It hasn't been cold enough for frost or anything like that, haha but I never realized how slippery water can be...oh well.
I did not want to get up this morning, it was warm in my bed and it was cold in my room and the bathroom was even colder. Um, I have my counseling appointment on Thursday, and holy there are alot of leaves being blown off that tree right now- I thought leaves onl feel like that in movies...haha if I go and stand out there right now, I think I'd catch quite a few. haha, but I'm not going to do that because it's too chilly outside.
I don't know if you are keeping up to date with a certain Mike Perham who is driving around the world to raise money for ShelterBox, he is in Alaska right now and mentioning the freezing weather. haha if you want to check his page out: http://www.mikeperham.tv/
He wants to be the youngest one to sail, drive and fly around the world or something, pretty cool. He's done the sailing and is in the midst of driving...I guess we'll have to see what comes next :P lol
Um, I might go and have a nap right now so I'll talk to you later! I have no idea why I am so tired, it's not like I haven't been getting that much sleep!! I have gone to bed normal time for me, which is definitely early for regular university students, but I guess I'm special haha lol

Sunday Night
HEEELLLLLLLLLLOOO!
If you haven't watched Downton Abbey- I whole-heartedly recommend it!! Spectacular show :) My favourite character is Lady Sybil SHE IS AMAZING just so you know.
Anyways,
Today I did homework, and I met a friend for homework at Starbucks in which we got served sample drinks :) Yay! I am actually quite nervous for the reading of this stuff tomorrow. It's very flowery language and quite a difficult read- all I got to remember is go slow and breathe- life's good. I hope. lol haha
Um, really, that's it. My room is an absolute mess...I'll probably clean it up on Tuesday or Thursday because one of those day's will be my washing day.
That's really it- I just want to express my love for the Sybil and Tom Branson relationship :) <3 AWWEE I love them characters!!
By the way, if you are reading this and going omg---I have watched up to episode 6 season 3 so no worries...*sniff sniff*
Yeah, so that' really it--ohhh and I should probably go because it's late and I just remembered I have to do something for tomorrow morning!! EEEKKK! byebye!

Otters and Japanese Yummies :)
My mind is going all over the place!! I am being swayed so much!!!! But either way I am going to have to move out of residence because my room is going to be used by someone else next semester because I missed to date to confirm it due to my new or original plans hah.
Considering the forecast was supposed to be rain for the next week- the weather man has been utterly wrong, we've had 2 glorious days of sunshine!! It's absolutely gorgeous out there now.
Yesterday, I had liberal studies first off, and it was lots of fun discussing The Christian Mystics- Julian of Norwich and St. John of the Cross, I thought it was super fascinating to read how they thought. Super interesting and definitely sparked a debate in my about why people suffer to get closer to God, because isn't the body a tool given to us by God, shouldn't we respect this gift? So it was a very interesting debate, I loved it! I think that's one of the reasons I like that class is because I actually have stuff to say on the matter! Yay! Then afterwards, I met up with Akina and we went for lunch and Japanese restaurant, followed up by a nice walk around downtown Nanaimo which took us like 1/2 an hour to walk around the whole thing- that gives you an idea of how tiny Nanaimo is. I took lots of gorgeous photos and what I didn't get a photo of was 3 otters we saw on the ocean harbour side!!!!!!!! THEY WERE SO ADORABLE!!! At first I thought they were seals, but we saw them up close and they were definitely otters :) 3 of them!! My lucky day! hah yay! This was our lunch at the restaurant: soo delicious!!
Desert: I was a green tea cake with custard, sponge and custard-- it was soo yummy!!
Yay! That was my day yesterday!! Wonderful! :)

Exam Dates have been set!!
Good morning y'all! Today is the day I will write my Japanese mid-term!! EEEEKKKK!! I'm so nervous but I feel sort of ready for it!! Well, my final exam dates have been set, my Japanese is on Dec 7 and my Liberal Studies is Dec 11, then I get to come home :)) YAY!
My mind is soo happy and so I'm kind of having second thoughts, which is not good at all, and next week I have a counselor appointment so I hope that will clear everything up for me!!
I also really want to go skating for some reason....and so I've looked up the Ice Centre across from the uni and I cannot for the life of me find their website....but thanks for my floor-mates- it turns out you can rent skates and that the schedule is online--on the website that I can't find, so it looks like either after my Japanese mid-term I will walk down to the center and look for something to tell me that kind of schedule they have for public skating. I don't even know if we will end up going or if it's even worth it in the arena but we'll see. haha, So now I'm going to do and do some last minute revision and practice for my mid-term so we'll talk to you later!!!

Mid-terms!
Today is Wednesday. Yay. Tomorrow I have my Japanese Midterm D: I'M SO NERVOUS! Oh my goodness, it's no good. I am studying and making flash cards, but there is so much I need to memorize and I haven't done it yet! AHHH!!!
Besides that, I don't feel like potatoes anymore...and that's the main vegetable I have here. :( I am also sick of eating this kind of bread-it falls apart and I want my daddy's loaves!! I miss home-made bread and the smell and the taste and crunch of the crust as it first comes out of the bread-maker- too hot to eat still, but I refuse to wait any longer...oh the days! Man, I think tonight I'm going to make myself a cheese and egg sandwich or something. Haha. Sounds good to me lol. Now I just have to find someone to take half of my potatoes and corn before they all go off lol HEADS UP!! DOES ANYONE WANT CORN AND POTATOES lol haha well, I guess I could also make scallop potatoes- after all I did buy a dish for it....you know what...I'll make it on the weekend lol along with all my other cooking expeditions haha
Well, I got to get back to studying- I have yoga at 5:30 and I want to get something done in this time!

Birthdays and Good News!
I have quite a few things to say today!!
First of all, I want to wish a happy birthday to my dearest Auntie La <3 I'm thinking of you especially today and will forever always! Thank you for everything :) I hope you have a very wonderful day in heaven <3
I'd also like to say that today is also my puppy's birthday so happy birthday Sunny! haha awesome.
Today I also got an email from Nakiska Ski Hill, saying that they are full on full-time ski instructors but they have a part-time employment opportunity for me starting Jan 2! It's a weekend job unfortunately, but I am still very excited!! So now I only have to wait for a response from Lake Louise- I hope I get a full-time employment from them, but we'll see!! If I have to suffice with part-time employment, I'll get to do more jobs haha, so either way it'll be fun haha YAY!
All my mid-terms are coming up too! I have my Japanese mid-term on Thursday!! I definitely need to study alot- especially the possessive phrases!! Well, I don't actually have that much time to study for it, so I'm going to study alot and alot in all the free-time I have haha

The Scariest Witch of Them All: The Kind that Cleans
Morning!! It's a very foggy day today here in the tiny, isolated quiet town of Nanaimo- where it's big enough not to know anyone but small enough to keep its occupants bored. This morning I had Liberal Studies class and it was a super interesting discussion on mystical experiences-and Julian of Norwich. I found it incredible hard to decipher, but overall I think after the discussion I came out with quiet a nice idea of what the heck she was trying to get at!
Now I'm at residence, doing laundry and I probably should be studying too, but right now I'm cleaning and laundry-ing. Also later today, I'll be going with the grocery shuttle to shop at Superstore! Yay! but, I put clean sheets on my bed yesterday and now my bed's all made-up and very nice looking if I do say so myself. My laundry is drying away in the dryer--and don't worry! I checked the pockets and my phone is safe with me!!! I cleaned the bathroom-toilet and shower- as it was starting to smell a little but now it just smells like bleach- and I don't understand why it started to smell, because we were cleaning it! But oh well, it smells like bleach now so life's good! My room is quite tidy although I think tomorrow morning I'm going to vacuum it, but that requires a little more tidying to be sure! It's going to rain today- and I don't know whether I should wear my raincoat-( which got it's first rain on this past weekend!) or bring my gigantic umbrella-I'd forgotten how big that monster is!! But I suppose we'll see--if it's raining when I leave the dorm-it'll be my raincoat I think, but if it's not raining-it'll be my umbrella or something...we'll see.
Oh yes, I don't remember if I mentionned this, but I went to see Finding Nemo in 3D which Sam and honestly I couldn't really tell the difference between the non 3D version and the 3D version- I mean sure there were a few things that I noticed more but not really enough to spend $11 on to go and see! But it was good anyway, and I enjoyed it! haha
Now it's probably time for me to study and remember to get my washing from the machine!!

An October Weekend
Once upon a time...there was a little girl called Heidi. She did not live in the mountains with her grandfather or like goat's milk. Instead, she liked to go out with her friends on Saturday nights to go and watch Finding Nemo. Now the group that she went with consisted of herself, another girl and two guys. The guys refused to go and watch Finding Nemo in 3D, instead one of them shopped and the other slept in the car while the two girls went to watch and enjoy Finding Nemo. Then after the adorable, wee film, they all went out to dinner. It turned out to be delicious and it was definitely an evening well spent. Heidi felt like she was indeed enjoying her time and liked the people she spent it with. Now, in from the rain, she is writing this and convincing herself that she should go to bed now, after all, her tummy is full and she is happy. The end.

Counceling appointment set
Morning!!! (It's 6 minutes before afternoon now, so it still counts as morning!) Not a whole lot to update you on, but I'm going to the theatre tonight with Sam and she and I are super-duper excited! Well, it's mainly an adventure for our theatre 100 class but I love watching theatre, so I'm hoping to production will turn out awesome! It's also a different type of theatre than what I'm used to, all the amazing theatre productions I have seen have been spectacular and it's been paid-so all the actors, actresses, lighting etc etc get paid, while this theatre that I'm going to tonight is community theatre so all the actors and actresses, lighting, sound crews are all in there for fun :) I've heard there's quite a difference and it's still an amazing experience. I'm quite looking forward to that :)
Today I also booked a counseling session for October 25 (the earliest they had), so I'm going in and talking about what I want to do and what they're opinion is on my thoughts of leaving university etc etc. I've spoken to Corine about it and she also agrees with the majority. :D
I did have one person think it not a good idea to leave, I should give it a shot for the whole year- and I'm pretty sure my brother would vote for this too, they also used the word 'disappointed'. That, I did not like. I'm already a very easy person to feel guilty and I feel guilty all the time and at times when I shouldn't feel guilty, I do...but that word 'disappointed'....f***, this person is very important to me, I love them very much, and hearing that from them...hurt... Although, I've decided that they're very much out-weighed by everyone I've spoken to, and i'm still doing through with my plan to leave- it still hurt to hear that from someone that I respect and love. I care very much what this person thinks, this person has had a great impact on my life, and that word that they used 'disappointed' will stick with me, and I'm trying really hard to forget it---...Anyways, you get the idea- it hurt and it's definitely put a hole in my decision making, a small hole... :(
I don't want to be swayed again, I want to know my path and walk it confidently with no regrets.
