This morning we had lots of rain!! It looked pretty soaked in but then by afternoon it cleared off a bit. Today Uncle John took me into Auckland!! First we went up to Mt Eden which was very cool, super awesome views even if it was a bit cloudy. Had a fantastic view of the city and tthe Sky Tower and even the suburbs! The trees here are so cool because there's a whole ton of variety and its quite dense. Even in the suburbs the trees are the same- and they are fully matured, not he new trees you see all over Calgary.
Then we drove around the inner city- where we saw sailors! Ones tha were actually dressed like sailors- like the full on white round caps and the blue ties and black shoes! It was so cool- usually you only see clothes like that in a costume shop but here they were actually worn! I love it!
We also drove around the port and showed me the yachts and it was amazing to see yachts sailing even when the sky wasnt clear- And the amounts o boats sailing was amazing!!
Then we drove around the shoreline from the ferry harbour to a place called Mission Bay whih was very pretty and quaint little place. I think we went farther along and drove through a place called St. Helena's Bay whih was also very cute!
We then had some grocery shopping, so we went to a huge shopping centre called Sylvia Park which was absolutely gigantic! I'd say it's about the same size than West Edmonton Mall!! The had huge elevators that could fit maybe 3-4 trolleys in them! They were huge! After we had eaten some lunch and done the grocery shopping we drove home!
And now the sun is shining, with a few grey clouds in the sky but it was a spectacular day!!
